Welcome to DGD-Kamina's HM RPG Guide v0.7.5!
This is a grind-heavy KRPG map that focuses on grinding bosses rather than mobs at all stages of the game. Number of players at equal levels/gear recommended to progress comfortably:
This write-up was intended for my personal use (I like to make notes as I play maps incase I take a long break from it and forget stuff), but I noticed a lot of players having trouble progressing after lvl215 so I thought I'd share my insight. I didn't find it necessary to make notes before this because the items are generally in a logical progression (make all in shop 1 then 2 then 3 - all items and materials located in shops except at thrall to wolf but even those were easy), so I'll only update the guide for below 215 when I try another hero. Also, don't get angry at my sub-par translations, I don't speak Korean at all - I used Google Translate, Naver Dictionary, my own judgement and a couple words from
비나(lion_s_tear)@cafe.naver.com/hmrpg.
As usual, avoid playing with cheaters if you want to be a part of the official community. You can find this one at cafe.naver.com/hmrpg. Register on naver and subscribe to the page to join up. You need to post replays for every bit of progress you make if you want to rank up in the community - given as soon as you get to level215/265/300 and beat the corresponding Arena Raid. At 300 your name will be added to the map for 300+ dungeon access.
So if you want to cheat and bypass all this, only play with other cheaters so you don't mess up other players' chance to rank up.

There is a wiki created by discord user Unitil : hm-rpg.wikia.com/wiki/HM_RPG_Wiki . Still a work in progress (as is this guide) but it has a nice layout, shiny pictures and wikis are generally just better than raw text guides.
You can get a recent version of the map here
If you can't see hangul text, install unifont
If you hate having to copy/paste codes, get an AHK script here

Overall Strategy
- Shadow Raid and Requiem become pretty useless from Troll dungeon onwards. Don't worry too much about having necromastery charged either. You'll find yourself simply spamming Blessing of the Imp with the occasional Shadow Time when you get it.
- At lvl250 Requiem regains its instakill effect and deals decent damage if it doesn't proc. Shadow Void generates so many charges that you'll finally get some good mileage out of Shadow Time. - +#-#Item denotes an upgrade recipe, with the numbers indicating the upgrade range possible. Ofcourse, all of these will require the base item, I didn't list them to save space. If one recipe can both create and upgrade but have same requirements, the first number will be 0. If they have different requirements, creation will be listed on one line then upgrade on the next.
- #Item denotes an upgraded item, with the number indicating the enhancement level.
Shop items are listed from left to right then to next row, with numbers indicating Row.Column. - There are no level restrictions for items, if you can afford the item you can wear it. However, from 1st grade onward you'll notice that items begin adhering to the "item class" rule, as in you can't wear 2 weapons or helms at the same time - if you try then all your items drop to the ground.
- The first level of currency is Gold. This is followed by Lumber at an exchange rate of 1000 Gold to 1 Lumber. Thereafter it's base INT at an exchange rate of 100 000 Lumber to 1 base INT. You can trade between these currencies with no loss.
- A k in a number denotes a figure of 1000, an M denotes a figure of 1 000 000.
- At lvl210 you can start spending base INT, but cannot go below 100. Anything that costs INT must be done with your hero, warehouse won't work.

Note: The door to the next zone (town 5 lvl265+) can only be opened by conquering the [9.13] Infernal Juggernaut (265-300) raid. All the following dungeons have a maximum 4 player entry. However, it may be a good idea to have an extra player in the game and use your classes depending on what the boss needs. For example, Beetle doesn't need a tank, just high damage but Bear does need a tank AND crowd control.
[8.10] Gatekeeper of Hell - 265 (Pit Lord)

Best way to deal with Tree is to stay in corners and dps via spells because debuffs seems to not reach corners. Stun has blue mark, doom purple mark and -as/ms/armor has orange mark)
Drops:

[10] Early Progression Guide
Before you even start this map, make sure you have Unifont installed and 8MB bypass installed.
Next you're going to have to decide on a hero. The endgame is limited to teams of 4 players, so take that into account if you're planning on playing through with a set group. You should have maximum 2 melee heroes including 1 tank in a team.

Next you're going to have to decide on a hero. The endgame is limited to teams of 4 players, so take that into account if you're planning on playing through with a set group. You should have maximum 2 melee heroes including 1 tank in a team.
Level 1-130
- It is possible to work your way past this stage solo, but the most efficient way to play is in 2man cells. This way the XP share doesn't hurt much but you can move on to higher dungeons alot quicker. 2 sets of 2 players makes it easy to take on raids at appropriate levels without the need for gear-grinding.
- If you're solo then you have to follow the items from shop 1, making every recipe and progressing gradually. If duo, you can skip shop 1 and 2 completely - just buy the 1.4-2.4 items in shop 3 when you have the gold for them. Spamming medallions and upgrading them is highly efficient.
- Keep in mind that mobs give the bulk of EXP in this stage of the game, just try to level as quickly as possible. Farm tauren if you want levels and farm the highest dungeon you can pass quickly if you want lumber.
- Level 90 is required to enter Satyr dungeon and from that point forward you can generally calculate the highest dungeon you can enter by subtracting 14 from the floating text on each dungeon (if you can see it, if you can't then look at the dungeon summary in section 8)
- Keep in mind that physical damage does very little compared to skill damage in this map. Crit items are useless unless your hero has heavy damage increase buffs. You just need to survive long enough to cast all your spells. Turn all your medallions into Sceptre of Masteries OR spam Hydra armors (efficient armor+HP). For efficiency, just grind scorpion dungeon till 118, harpy to 120
Level 130-160
- Again, you can work past this solo but it gets significantly harder to do so here, requiring a heavy amount of grinding for lumber. You should find a partner to duo with at this stage, trio for quick progress and quartet for quick progress+raids. Mobs no longer give EXP, you now get it as a bonus when leaving the dungeon after killing the boss, therefore it really is much better to move forward with a team. Farm the hydra dungeon for XP till lvl140 as it gives the most XP in the region.
- In terms of items, max out your sceptre of masteries or hydra amors. Don't bother with DPS items. If you are simply dealing no damage then party up with someone who does, or you have to grind a lot longer (since your tanking gear will need to be higher level if you're going to swap 1 out for a DPS item).
- You can save gold/lumber by farming for materials in each dungeon but its not necessary, all materials can be bought from shop 5 and shop 7. You should just farm the highest dungeon you can clear if you want lumber.
Level 160-180
- Soloing now becomes a pain. It is still possible but your grinding time will be 10x higher than normal, really boring. Entering this zone with a quartet means you can easily aim for the 160-175 Tauren raid which gives a level boost and 60k lumber.
- In terms of items, just focus on armor and STR. Replace sceptres with Upgrade Books (do not sell them, you will turn them all into Helm of Battlethirsts). Aim for Undead Cloak and Barrier Ring. Avoid fancy damage items like Hammer of Blessings and either of the Attribute items.
- For levelling, Orb is the most efficient dungeon till 185.
Level 180-215
- This is where you stop all soloing, it really isn't worth the time at all even if it can be done at certain points. This zone should be done with 3-4 players, duo can be done with a good combo (a tank like Pit Lord with a DPS like Sylvanas) or some extra lumber grinding. For Levelling Orb 185 -> Felhound to 188 -> Wagon to 189 -> Thrall to 190 -> Trolls 200 -> Warlock 205 -> Wolf 215
- In terms of items, don't bother with making Earthquake (but collect the hammer material to make it later for Shock Hammer). Shield of Lordaeron should be skipped aswell, in this case you can skip this dungeon completely (it's long and annoying, you can XP faster at thrall). Make your totem ASAP and a second Undead cloak, then get Frozen Crown and Shock Hammer. Fuse totem and crown for Blessing Totem.Ignore the 300k recipe in all the shops, thats for making legendary weapons which requires the material gained from the 205-215 Obsidion Statue raid.
- If you can do the Obsidion Raid, do so as soon as possible. If you can't get a team for it, and can't dodge Lightning, just skip it.
- Ideally you'll leave this zone with Undead Cloak, a legendary, Shock Hammer, Blessing Totem, Cursed Crown, 0HM (Buy them from [7.20] Devil exchange - Town 4 (Necrolyte)). However, it's totally fine to move on with a Blessing Totem + 3 undead cloaks + 2HM Spirits.
- You will notice a quest ticker when you kill units in a dungeon, upon completion the dungeon will have lower physical resistance.
Level 215-245
- You can now enter the harpy dungeon. You should have all crafts completed from the previous zone if you want to survive well here. However, all those items will be replaced - none of them will be upgraded.
- Before entering the dungeon you should familiarize yourself with the 7.20 necro and 7.21 harpy shops in the shops section as well as the 8.1 harpy and 8.3 golem dungeons in the dungeons section, this will save you from a lot of confusion.
- To get a recipe here you have to craft 3.2 Storm's Bag from the shop in harpy dungeon. The result is completely random, you need 3 recipes from here. The players that don't have the highest items from 180-215 should make harpy items first to more efficiently increase the teams power, otherwise just take turns making bags.
- Keep moving onto next dungeons as quickly as possible after finishing items. Make sure to finish all your bags before moving from harpy. From succubus get 1 dagger creation and 4 reinforce (you don't need to craft straight away just get them). Max your adrenaline at Golem ASAP.
- Frost recipes and Mage staff recipes can be bought later so don't worry about finishing them if you can move onto Devil Mansion easily. Just make sure to finish your Harpy gear, Sentinel Dagger and Adrenaline before you're barred from the dungeon or you'll have to get a friend to farm them for you with a lower level hero (don't be that guy).
Level 245-255
- Devil Mansion is a pain. The dungeon is huge and 300 mob quest takes forever to complete. The doors to the bosses have to be opened by killing Pudge+Gargoyle+Weaver+Viper minibosses. Try Necro out first and see if your team can kill him, that would be optimal, if not just kill the mobs for quest then run west to kill Ghost. You can get lvl249 this way then go necro, he'll be easier at that point. You can skip levelling here entirely by doing the Skeletal Marksman Raid
- There are quite a few materials in this dungeon to make use of if you need to save INT. All the mobs and minibosses can drop a complete key of 3 moons. All the minibosses can drop +1-4HM upgrade recipe. The other recipe you will notice that drops from Viper makes Guardian Sentinel, the materials for those will also be scattered across the dungeon. Ghost drops Guardian Sentinel. Make sure to get the Thunder Dagger recipe from Ghost.
- Necro rewards 29 INT and 100K lumber. This is pretty good, try and up your golem shop items here. The thunder dagger upgrade recipes require Thunder Rock material which can only be gained from the 250-255 Pillar Golem raid.
- If you can't manage the raid now (it has some tricky moments), just wait till lvl255 and have +4shield from Axe. Make sure everyone has 4 thunder rocks before moving on past lvl255 - you absolutely need them for item progression.
- From Axe onwards, a maximum of 4 players can enter a dungeon at any one time, so have a balanced team of 4 classes here with as much stun as possible
- Make sure your first 2 Golem Shop items are complete before going past lvl250
Level 255-265
- You should have all 4 golem shop items at +4 and both Axe items at +4 before entering Zeus dungeon or you will have a rough time.
- From Zeus onwards, bosses become trickier to kill. Focus on your stun timings and aggro swappping.
- From now on, item progression is completely dependant on boss grinding. Each boss will drop a material, use that material to upgrade items (recipes no longer necessary). Note that items will now give you a level for each new upgrade. For example, zeus helm +0 will give you level 256 then helm +1 will give 257. The dungeon will get slightly harder depending on the level of heroes entering it. If you're barely killing the bosses, try collecting 6 mats/recipes and upgrading all your items 1 stage, rather than focus one item
Level 265-285
- The door to these dungeons must be opened by conquering the 265-300 Infernal Juggernaut raid.
- Nothing complicated here in terms of item progression. Simply farm each dungeon for boss materials to max upgrades before moving onto the next. However, there will usually be a progression block until you figure out how to kill a boss for the first time - each one is like a raid in terms of difficulty for an appropriately levelled/geared team.
